Well let me first say I am sorry for the delay. It has been a couple of days since I last blogged. With that said, let me tell you what has taken place.
I have been burdened lately with some decisions that I have made as the pastor of the church. Often we feel or see that things could be, should be or would be, even after much prayer. Then things just don't turn out the way you may think. As for me, I become burdened, asking myself questions like am I really listen to the Lord.
Well today I must give Him all the praise, not only has He spoken to me through other people, He has continued to do great miracles right before my eyes.
Yesterday was a special day for motorcyle riders. Some folks often are turned away when they see the biker, well they need prayers as well. Yesterday we held the churches 2nd annual Biker Blessing. Now the message was not simply for bikers, but you must be the one to determine that, listen to it on line through our e-sermons page. The message was for all. And don't you know despite my feeling like I have not listened to the Lord with some of the decisions I have made, He comes through and 4 adults committed their lives to Christ at a biker blessing. My blog is delayed, but I am praising the Lord. Noah, did according to all that God commanded him , so he did.
I, like Noah, have listened to the Lord and will always do all that He commands of me as a Pastor. How about you?
Maybe someone right now is struggling like I have with some decisions you have made. If God is speaking and He does through His Word, then just do it. What ever it is. With that said, please don't make the decision to do something that the Lord is directing you to do, or called you to do, and then decide, I am not going to do it. We then need to visit Genesis 6:6-7. I would very worried, to stand before the Lord and here Him say I am sorry that I spoke to you about such and such, I am sorry I called and you and you did not listen.
Today I may have been delayed as I was feeling down and burdened based on my thoughts, to only be directed to the scriptures and here that Noah did all that God had commanded him to to. I praise the Lord. What God commanded me to do is go, even to bikers, and witness and evangelize the world, to see people get saved, thank You Lord Jesus as I give you all the praise, and I pray for those 4 saints as they are discipled and grow in Jesus name amen.
Praying the Lord touch this brief blog, bless the readers. We are getting ready for our Church Child Dedication service this Sunday hope you can make it.
I am often asked by many Christians how to know when to share Christ and then how do they proceed to do it.
Well I believe first, we never have to set it on our daily to do list or calendar, however we must always be ready to share the Gospel by simply talking about the hope that is in us as Christians. (1 Peter 3:15) So the answer to the when is always be ready. The how to or what to share is the hope of Christ that is in you.
Just the other day while in the office preparing for a message for Sunday. Thinking of how quiet it was and I was really enjoying the study and time with the Lord, a message came across my e-mail. It was from a dear long distant friend. Pastor Ron please go and visit a family member in the hospital. He is very ill and may not live much longer. Then they said this, we are worried about his spiritual condition. Well, there is the when. You see I was not really prepared to go into the hospital for visit like that, however, we need to always be ready.
I closed up my Bible and my computer, got my small traveling Bible and left immediately for the hospital. Now here is when it gets interesting. Walking into a hospital room under those conditions not sure the family will at all know who I am. And I am there to share Jesus Christ. Some would say no way not me. Can’t and won't even try to do it. Next you are about to see how God works. I did nervously enter the room. Made an introduction and was received very well. The family understood why I was there without saying anything, God worked it out.
After a short talk about each other and our past, the how to took place, Jesus through the Holy Spirit just began to speak through me. The question just came out. If you die right now are ready to meet Jesus Christ?A man early 60's lived a very tough life, not far from eternity responded, I do not know Jesus Christ. Question 2 just rolled off my lips, not me, had to be the Lord. With what you know, you may die at any moment isn't today a real good day to call on Jesus Christ and ask Him into your life? Without hesitation, a man ready to die physically, with a clear and perfect mind, said, "Yes I need Christ." We prayed together the angels in heaven rejoicing the Kingdom soon will have one more saint in heaven, satan loses another.
Today seems like I am wakening up from a dream. I often recall that when something great and wonderful took place in my life after it was over and an evening of rest would fall upon me, I would awaken the next day overwhelmed. Today is another one of those days.
The weekend began with watching the movie the Passion of Christ for the 5th time with my church family. And don't you know that it still has an impact on me that just is overwhelming in itself. It didn't stop there. Saturday morning woke and attended our early morning deacons meeting and a wonderful prayer time at the church altar. Praying that God have His way and do miracles at the Easter Egg Extravaganza and the Sunday Morning Services.
A long rainy morning Saturday and a cold cloudy afternoon, and the children and the families came. God sent them to us and our prayers were answered. Over 150 people and 8 children and 3 adults made decisions for Christ when the message was presented with resurrection eggs. Well it did not stop there either.
Sunday morning 30 plus showed up for the 6am Sunrise Service, and then our special 11am Sunday morning communion service. Many visitors and 150 plus again attended our small church building. Maybe many for the first time, who knows, what I observed at the end of the sermon 7 additional decisions made receiving Jesus Christ into their hearts and then a wonderful communion service families came forward to pull apart from the bread, the broken body of Christ, and covering it by dipping it in the chalice filled with juice, demonstrating that every drop from the bread is a drop of the blood of Christ that covers our sins. Many came forward in fact the service did not end until almost 1:00pm. God is so awesome and to allow me and those in this church to be a part of a wonderful Easter celebration, to me it was overwhelming.
Be blessed today and know that Jesus Christ is alive and available to you. Receive Him, I pray today that you return to the church main page and click on the Do you know Jesus page and receive Him today. Happy Easter, thank You Lord Jesus.
God is amazing. His love is so pure and rich. Today as I began my morning prayer time I was interrupted, over the scanner in my office a child was reported lost. In our county that gets priority attention.
As I listened to the details coming by telephone to the responding deputies, I began to pray.
My prayer was a cry to the Lord that at that very moment He would reveal to the family, friends and to the first responders the little child's location.
My God and His amazing love was displayed seconds after the prayer. The radio communications from one of the responding deputies, the child was located and safe.
Thank You Lord for hearing the prayers, the cries, thank You Lord for Your amazing love.
I pray in Jesus name amen.
That is the God that was raised from the dead on Easter Morning the very one we should celebrate and worship this Sunday in our church. The God who answers prayers immediately, the God who is alive today. I pray His blessings surround you all this day and in the days ahead.
Today I received an early morning email from a dear friend asking the question do you really take time for God. I do not normally read through those long and detailed emails but the title caught my attention so I did read it all.
As I read it I was guided by the Spirit of God to read a scripture that I have studied, and even preached from on several occasions, and now this brief blog. Do we truly understand what the scriptures say about taking time out for the Lord.
I have heard it said recently that I do not need to be in the building called a church to be giving my time to God. I am not debating where you may receive a touch from the Lord, however, allow me to speak to the reader about what I see in the scriptures here in Acts 2. And we do believe totally in the inspired inerrant Word of God, yes?
They, continued steadfast, meaning they were firmly loyal and consistent to their church. But one thing that stands out, they were believers verse 44, interesting thought yes? Believers in Jesus Christ the one who died for the Church, Eph 5:25. It was the early Church that the Bible refers to hear. It says they were together, when the church was opened the early church practiced, and it should be the same today, being together and they had all things in common. What a concept. Church today and even leadership in churches today are not together they have individual agenda's and that is not the example of the New Testament church in Acts 2. They shared in things especially those who had a need. Now here is the interesting part and the church today needs to read this verse over and over and strive to understand it and then the blessings will be huge. They continued daily with one thing in common, the Lord Jesus Christ, they praised and worshipped Him in the temple, the church building. The building that so many today say we are not bound or attached too. When in fact the New Testament church, they were attached to it, loved it and watched the Lord add to it daily. We should not think about making time for God only on Sunday morning, we should be in the temple the church when ever the doors are open, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday evening, Bible Studies, daily if we could have a service daily, that is the example the Bible left us with in Acts 2:42-47. We need to make time for God with that in mind and I believe the blessings will be more then you can store up.
I believe the scriptures are crystal clear on this subject. For those that do not see this as clearly as I do, pray and seek the Lord for wisdom as you study the scriptures.
Have a great day in the Lord and take time for God attend the church of your choice often and daily if you can.
