Not much to write about for the moment.  I am having a day full of pain.  The in home therapists came this morning and several visitors.  Great morning just alot of pain.  So I won't bore anyone with those details.

I did have some great time with the Lord early this morning and continue to sense His hand in it all.  The scripture I leave for your pondering is 1st Thessalonians 5:16-19 Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit;

Have a great evening and know that Jesus loves you and so do I

Romans 5:1-5

Good morning to all.  Well today it has just been one week since the open back surgery I went through.  I will admit it has been extremely painful but I believe it is going to be a new journey well worth the stop off at a wonderful hospital called Georgetown University Hospital. (much more to follow on that in later blogs)

Many of you know it has been a battle now for quite a few years.  And finally the pain today is what appears to me to be all surgical related.  As we travel this road of recovery I pray the blog will reflect how that improves each and every day.  More important I ask the Lord right now to give me the Godly wisdom to give you my family and friends a small bit of encouragement through this time as we visit the scriptures and allow God to speak into our hearts the Truth of the Gospel, the best medicine of all.  In fact the Bible a joyful heart is like good medicine. (Proverbs 17:22)

I first am so thankful to God for all He has done through yet another period of tribulation in my life.  God continues to so awesome, just as it was for the Apostle Paul who went through so much than any of us.  And he writes the beautiful words Romans 5:5 hope that comes from the Lord never disappoints us even during those times of trouble.  So during these past months of pain before surgery the time of tribulation bring on to me period and mind of hope, and that hope will not disappoint in anyway.  Our God is and awesome God.

First as this day begins I want to thank the Lord for all that He has done and continues to do.  Next I thank God for all of you who have prayed seeking His hand be the hand of surgeon.  Finally, I thank God for my family here at home, my dear wife who slept at the hospital with me the entire week listening to my cries late at night.  My Children who stayed with her through out the day for strength and encouragement, and my two Grandchildren who live with us, to hear their tears each night on the phone gave me additional strength to get up and work hard with the physical therapists even when the pain was extreme.

Well it is a great day there is hope in the Lord to those are called and love Him.

Be blessed today and know this Jesus loves you and so do I.

James 3:13-18

Wisdom from God or earthly wisdom, could it be that there is such a thing as earthly wisdom.  I believe the Bible speaks directly to us about that in the book of James.

First this will very likely be my last blog for a couple of weeks.  Next monday early back surgery and I will be in Georgetown Hospital for about a week.  But it is Godly Wisdom that gives me peace about this new operation.  Praise the Lord.

I have always said knowledge is great to obtain but it is the wisdom given to us by God that allows us the ability to practice what we know.  The first part of our scripture tells us who ever has the wisdom is is to demonstrate it through good works.  That comes by doing what pleases the Lord.  Now listen to what some of that is not.  Bitter envy, self seeking hearts, that lie, it is sensual and demonic.  These things are from satan, earthly wisdom and that will always be destructive.  That which is given to us from the Father in Heaven, first is pure. Free from moral defilement and guilt.  It is the wisdom that brings peace into your life, a gentle spirit prepared to give into others needs, full of being the one to give, mercy.  Doing things for all people without a desire for pay back.  That Heavenly wisdom from above is that of a peacemaker.  And what a great thought to have a large group of peacemakers. That is the church family.

Where do you get your wisdom from, is it the world the earthly, that is from the devil.  Today make a decision to get your wisdom from the Word, God's Word the Bible, pick it up and read Proverbs 16 and tomorrow Proverbs 17 and so on each day. Wisdom from above is what is needed in our world today filling the land with peacemakers.

Keep me in your prayers as you search wisdom first seek the Holy spirit to be your teacher as you read the Bible.

Jesus loves you and so do I.

Galatias 6:1-3

Often we as Christians find ourselves in spiritual trouble. Think for a moment, is there someone in your arena of life who is in a troubled marriage, maybe a child has gone bad, finances has forced you to slip and do something wrong. Perhaps you have been overwhelmed with your computer and are now hooked on pornography, what ever it is, it is now time for your church to stand up, not take issue with the sin but love you and begin a spiritual restoration project. The Bible says those who are spiritual, the church family, it is their responsibility to helph restore one with the spirit of gentleness, considering yourself as they may also fall and find themselves in spiritual trouble. Romans 15:1 we are to be stronger and bear the troubles of the weak, not pleasing ourselves. Church do not be deceived, we could fall ourselves. While we are strong, Spiritually, always be prepared to help restore our brother or sister who has a burden, sin or a trespass. What ever our family member or our friends are dealing with, help carry the burden, listen, love and lean into them, as you restore them spiritually.

I have been facing the may burdens of others lately and my prayer this morning is this, "Lord as we begin this new week, use me to listen to those who come to me, help me to look past their troubles and love them as You do, give me wisdom to lean in and help them with their burden, to understand that You are in control and with Your Word we can learn and be spiritually restored. In Jesus name I pray amen.

Church family if someone comes to you with a burden, I ask that my prayer becomes your prayer.

Have a great day in the Lord.  If you are carrying a burden, you can take it directly to the Lord, if you wish for a listening ear, a loving heart,  a person ready to lean in and be there, call your church and I pray it is a pastor, a deacon or just a family member that says, I will help restore you my brother or sister to a spiritual healing with gentleness never in judgement of your trespass.
