Colossians 3:22-4:1

Today I am writing only to let the faithful reader know that we are back from the mountain retreat and how wonderful a time in the beautiful mountains of Virginia.  It certainly is a time to look out and see God's beautiful creation.

Brief update on my back, I am still having some pain, but truly much better everyday. I spoke to the Doctor's Office today and they continue to say it is still early and I have a long way to go towards full recovery.  Praise the Lord, God is good, I am better then I was thank You Jesus. The scripture for the day comes from the message on Sunday focused on Labor day.  Christians we need to be The Best in Ability, be the best worker

Attendance, show up always be available

Attitude even with tough conditions and bosses

Authentic Christianity, not eye service workers

Christianity in the workplace is so important; Paul says obey in all things our masters.  First there is obedience in service to the Lord. Verse 23 "And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men." when we do these things there is a promise from God, "you will receive the reward of the inheritance.  So Christian in the workplace, we need to be better then our work partners who are without Christ, you may be the only thing God uses to point them to salvation, and there are great rewards for us in heaven.  Now allow me to speak to the Boss.  Well let me just leave you with God's Word.

Col. 4:1 "Masters (boss), give your bondservants, (employee) what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.'  The words boss and employee are my words not God's.  I do hope it helps you understand what God is saying to you bosses, leaders in your workplace.

Thank you for your continued interest in this blog your comments are greatly appreciated.

Be blessed today and know that Jesus loves you and so do I.
