Psalm 119:41-48
It has only been a few days since the Lord has so graciously taken Dee’s Mom Agnes home into heaven. As Dee and Kimmie described it to me when I arrived home Wednesday around 7:15, Dee said, “what a beautiful thing to see.” A moment they will remember for ever. Just being in the home for these many years and knowing how much Agnes truly missed her husband and son, her 5 brothers and her sister who all had gone before her, she being the oldest. I also know she was afraid of leaving her daughter and her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved deeply. So as we remember those years, months, days and even the last hours the merciful God we read about in His Word is so real as Dee and Kimmie described a wonderful smile that came across the face of Agnes Langston, a smile that had been held back for years, especially the last year. It was a smile that could only come to someone who at that moment actually saw Jesus Christ.
This week we remember the tragic events of Sept 11 when terrorists attacked our beautiful country. Sundays following the attack, so many people were searching for God; many believed it was the end of the world. Churches were full all denominations were deep in prayer. I believe we as a nation have forgotten what came from that tragic loss. I believe Dee and Kimmie will never forget that smile, we will never forget Agnes. However, since 9-11-01, today churches have more seats empty then filled, many church doors are closing due to the economy. Pastors are stepping out of ministry; God is no longer on our minds like it was on 9-11-01. It is time to remember His mercy, simply put; mercy is you and I not receiving what we deserve. It is time to remember His Word, which saves, it is time to remember to trust in His Word, hope in His ordinances, seek always His precepts, it is time for Christians to speak out and remember what He has done for you, remember to delight yourself in His commandments, the Bible. It is a time to remember to meditate on His Statutes. It is a time to remember, reflect upon, and seriously put our minds to work again on God, and as the Psalmist said, this Word, (the Lord Jesus Christ), in which I love. Wednesday Sept. 1st, 2010 about 7:05pm Jesus Christ revealed Himself to Agnes and Dee and Kimmie saw it with their own eyes, a beautiful experience during a sad time. It could only happen because Jesus Christ is real and alive today. Do you have a relationship with this Jesus like Agnes Langston did? Receive Him today, visit www.odcchurch.com bottom of the main page Do You Know Jesus? Click on it and your life will change forever and forever Psalm 119:44.
I pray today our nation remembers the peace and comfort that God brought to our country during those tragic days of 9-11, return to your church with a revived heart praising the one who has given you life and is ready to put that smile on your face at your appointed time.

Acts 23:11 But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, "Be of good chear Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome."
After returning from a wonderful time away with family the first thing as the pastor of the Open Door Community Church on my busy desk was a financial storm had finally arrived. We did get through the summer drought only to find ourselves in a storm.
Paul had faced many storms in his ministry. The one here in the book of Acts has caught my attention today. The Apostle Paul always had a vision about his ministry in Rome. All that he had done prior to this event in his life after Acts 9 the Damascus Road conversion, he was a wonderful witness for Jesus Christ. A faithful man serving the Lord never asking why what or when. Now he finds himself again in a storm. Beaten and hated by the religious people. In fact it appeared that they wanted to tear him apart. He was becoming weary Paul a wonderful servant of God and he now finds himself in a another storm.
When we are in a storm like our new financial storm here at ODCC, if we are busy doing what God has called us to do, yes the storms will come and try to disrupt our vision to not see clearly, as for Paul and as it has been for me, the SON will rise out of the storm and you will see clearly again. Verse 11 Jesus said Paul, (Ron, put your name here) be of good cheer. You have testified for Me in Jerusalem, (Ron at your prior church), so you must also bear witness at Rome, (Ron at Open Door Community Church). Paul always had a vision of his ministry in Rome, after a long struggle with the Lord for 2 1/2 years I realized my vision was to pastor a church. Sept. 18, 2005 Open Door Community Church opened its doors and many lives have been touched by the Lord. Yes we need your prayers and a financial miracle, but we are confident in Him who we have asked according to His will and Jesus said be of good chear you will be a witness for Me at ODCC,
Jesus was saying to Paul, to me and to you, what ever the storm is in our lives, be of good cheer, let this be a testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ before the storm, during the storm and after the storm. Thank you Lord Jesus for your word this morning in Jesus name amen.
If this word of encouragement has touched you, thank the Lord for the storm that ODCC has faced and we continue to face with impact prayer, first praising the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
If this ministry has been a blessing to you and you would like to give you may do this on line www.odcchurch.com thru paypal.
Thank you,
Pastor Ron

Matthew 18:19-20 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask it, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
The words of Jesus. God Himself tells us if we Christians can agree on anything, having a need for His intervention, my Bible says it will be done. The question. is there anyone with you when you pray? Have you ever just taken the hand of your husband or wife and prayed over a matter in agreement. Maybe with your children. Try seeking the hand of God in your business, pray with your leadership in agreement what needs to be done. Today as we will do often here at ODCC, the staff with in the church put ourselves on the altar at church in agreement, asking God to do something great during Vacation Bible School week. Last night we had 51 children and God was working, praise the Lord. You see our impact prayers with others started yesterday at the altar on our knees. God did what He knew He was going to do, and in the right time tested this church to see if we were serious about our prayer ministry. Today I believe those that were here even felt His personal touch as He promised in Matthew 18:20.
So if you desire to have an impact prayer today, call on someone to agree with you, pray over the matter and allow God's presence to be felt through the Holy Spirit in your life.
What an experience we had today at the altar, maybe when you attend church Sunday your circumstances, a conflict, a storm cloud or a crisis in your life, agree that it is a blessing and allow that circumstance to put you on your knees praying to God. A personal God who knows your name, who supplies, who delivers to His children.
Impact prayer ministry often includes a prayer partner to add power to your prayer. His promise is if you ask and can agree, it will be done. Have a wonderful prayer today. Prayer time that will impact your life, and the life of others. Now watch what God is going to do, blessing you.
VBS tonight starts a 6:30 come little children come. Mom's and Dad's let's agree there is absolute value in seeing your children develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, the one who provides for us direction into eternity, heaven.
Be blessed today and remember to Pray, the impact prayer.
ODCC church wide Impact Prayer Ministry begins September 24, 2010 from 9pm to 11pm join the team and watch what God is going to do in your life, the life of your family, your church and our country.

John 17:20-26
The Open Door Community Church is going to embark on a revived prayer mission. Very soon we will have a period of time that someone will be available at the church for anyone who wishes to call in for prayer, write an e-mail, maybe someone would desire to just drop in and pray with a prayer partner. The day and time, well that will be determined when a special light is on in front of the church. So be on the alert for the light. A simple light to alert anyone the Impact Prayer Ministry is on at Open Door Community Church.
Jesus Christ is praying for believers. He clearly identifies who He is praying for in verse 20, “for those who will believe in Me through their word;” Have you given your word to the Lord. Yes Lord I give myself to You as my Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Jesus is telling all who simply confess pray and believe in their heart become one with the Father At this time in our lives we can now have unlimited access to the Father, Romans 8:26-27. When someone is sick we pray for healing. Now that is appropriate and is a good thing, however, Listen to what Jesus prayed for each of us who believe, “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” Jesus prayed that the believers would truly be who we say we are in word, His desire for us to be with Him. Pray for believers to be secured in Jesus no matter what is going on in your life, for those not walking with the Lord, I beg you find Him, the Lord Jesus, who has a desire that we be with Him in heaven.
Today confess Jesus Christ as Lord, make it your word, believe in Him, now with confidence live a life, in obedience, knowing His prayer to the Father is for you and I to spend eternity in heaven to see His glory. Be blessed today and remember to Pray.

Matthew 6:5-15
The last few days I have spent on my knees talking with God who is enough for me, asking questions and seeking His touch on Dee’s condition while she spent many days in the hospital. We went from an infection in her leg, to cellulites, blood clots and even the possibility of tumors in her intestines. It seemed as if everyday the news got worse instead of better. What was God doing? Blessing me and I did not know it. When conflicts come, people gossip, troubles surface, that storm forms, consider it as a blessing, a time to get on your knees. James 4:8 draw near to God and He will draw near to you. What I am about to tell you, could change your life and the life of your family, the church and our country, it did for me. God had Dee perfectly in His hands. I realize I needed more then what I call the simple traditional kind of prayer. Prayer should be our life line. I began to pray, understanding I was talking to my, personal FATHER, sacred, divine holy creator. And He knows my name. When I realized that my prayer life has changed. I pray seeking the awesome power of God humbly on my knees. Daily we should spend time on our knees, we are talking to the Holy God, think about that. He knows our needs before we ask Him. My prayers on my knees worshiping Him, daily with a sincere heart, one of forgiveness, one aware of the battle with the flesh, temptation, a heart focused on the one who can deliver, my heart felt prayer believing in His supernatural Power.
I did seek His healing touch upon dee and I continue, but God knows exactly what He has planned for her, for me, as well as for you. Today begin a new prayer journey, drop on the ground and worship Him the Holy One. Ask for His intervention in your life daily, to keep us away from the attacks of the world. Be forgiving of others, when a conflict, or gossip, a crisis comes accept it as a blessing, let it drive you to your knees. I thank the Lord for allowing me to go through this time, it has enriched my prayer life, my revived life line, how about you? Pastor Ron
